Who We're Adopting and How You Can Help
This year we're teaming up with Saving Grace to make the holidays a little brighter for families dealing with violence and sexual assault. Below you will find the “wish lists” provided by our advocates working with families.
If you'd like to buy a gift please read through the information below and then send us a message to let us know what you're bringing. Gifts can be dropped off throughout the week at Bend Upcycle 1255 NE 3rd Street Bend, OR or on Sundays at Epikos Church.
We ask that all gifts arrive unwrapped (for safety purposes) and labeled with the family number between Tuesday, December 1st and Friday, December 18th.
Mom with two kids. Mom loves reading, a gift card to Barnes and Noble would be a luxury and a gift card to Starbucks to use while at B & N would be extra special. She will need pots and pans for when they move into their new home, along with everything else. Daughter, age 15, wants a gift card to Target so she can pick out clothes, a book, or game, and she also loves art and drawing. Son, age 5, is in need of warm clothes, size 5. He would like a remote control car or truck. Daughter, age 8, would also like a gift card to pick out her own clothes at Target. She would like an American Girl doll. Mom would love to take the family to the movies during the holidays for a special treat.
Mom with three kids--two girls (ages 14 years and 15 months) and one boy (3 years old). The family is very rural and needs gas cards to get to appointments and pick up groceries. The 14-year-old would like a portable DVD player, PJs and a robe (adult size medium), The Hunger Games: Mockingjay novel and Harry Potter series. The 3-year-old would appreciate anything Spiderman-related--toys, books, games, etc. The 15-month-old girl would like dolls, doll clothes, and anything related to Elmo. Mom would enjoy a zip up hoodie in size large or XL, new towels, and movie theater passes to take her kids to the movies.
